Leadership
" I got the Power" While this statement would be one that I would like to say is true in reality I or any other teacher at my school have the top power in our schools. Working for a Public Charter has been much different then what I remember going to a Public school, I often have noticed that at my school the powerhouse parents hold the power. I believe that our parents with political connections hold the power then our principle, and then our overheads. I do believe that sometimes the complaints and thoughts of certain parents are taken in higher regards then other parents who are not heard as often. In some cases all of them work together for a better good but I have not seen it happen in a long time.In other work places we all the power, we worked and meshed together for a common cause. I think that the question of who has the power, has become an ego boaster for some team member to make them feel that their opinion is more valid than others. Although, many believe that they hold the key to this decision making "Power" I truly believe that the power at my school are in the hands of our students.
